He was born November 11, 1970 to Rey Devon and Bobby Lea Longhurst, the eldest of seven children.
Jered is an Eagle Scout. He served a Spanish-speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Tempe, Arizona and served in many callings throughout his life.
He married Sherri Josephson and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 10, 1992 and had four beautiful, loving children.
Some of the things he loved to do were playing basketball, water skiing, fishing, and he had just recently taken up golf. Jered was always a hard worker and a great provider for his family.
Jered is survived by his wife of nearly 17 years, his children Austin, Courtney, Cassie and Everet, his parents, numerous siblings, in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West).
