Vivian was united in marriage to William “Frank†Ross on June 17, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1995.
Survivors include: 1 Son & Daughter-in-Law: Ronald and Barbara Ross of Joliet, IL;4 Grandchildren: Karen & John Huddlestun of Coal City, IL; Kimberly Ventsias of Joliet, IL; Julie & David Stout of Joliet, IL; & Jason Ross of Joliet, IL. 10 Great Grandchildren: David, Rachel, Elizabeth, Mitchell, Jessica, Rebbecca, Andrew, Abbygail, Kailee, and Delaynie. And Vivian was anticipating the birth of another Great Grandchild in June 2004. Survivors also include 1 Sister: Minnietta Acetone of Huntsville, Alabama; 1 Brother-in-Law: Don Ledford; 1 Sister-in-Law: Edith Craig; Nieces & Nephews.
In addition to her Parents & Husband, Vivian was preceded in death by: Her Twin Sister: Virginia Ledford; 2 Sisters: Teresa Trammel and Lenora Craig; 1 Son: Glenn Ross; 1 Daughter: Ramona Ross; 6 Brothers: Harry, U.B., Russell, Doris, Chestine, & Coy “Mack†Craig.
Vivian was a 1940 graduate of the Carrier Mills High School. She was a homemaker and a co-owner & operator of the Ross Service Station in Tunnel Hill from 1946-1981. Vivian was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church, and had also attended the Reynoldsburg Church. She loved gardening, quilting, sewing, and “going.†She was also an avid reader.
Vivian leaves her family and many dear friends to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 2:00 PM at the Reynoldsburg Church. Rev. David Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in the Reynoldsburg Cemetery near Tunnel Hill, IL. Visitation will be after 5 PM Monday, May 17, 2004, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
