Carl was a Vietnam-era vet in the Air Force. He loved the genealogy work he did. He walked many cemeteries and chronicled their graves and donated them to the local library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We once took our oldest daughter's fifth-grade class to the library and helped all of them find at least five generations in their family trees. He got a lot of his friends and co-workers interested and involved in finding their own ancestors.

CARL W. MYERS JR., 57, died Thursday evening, Feb. 2, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor, Garrett. Born May 25, 1948, in Portland, he was the son of the late Carl William and Betty Louise (Lewis) Moses Myers. He married Constance Osborn on Jan. 19, 1975, in Fort Wayne. He worked as a tax preparer in Spencerville and had also worked for Federal Mogul, in Quality Assurance. He was a Vietnam veteran. Surviving are wife, Constance Myers of Spencerville; daughter, Hillary Myers of Spencerville; step-daughter, Jennifer Loshe of Bluffton; sister, Margaret Jolayne Ely of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one nephew; and three nieces.
