They settled into a life of farming in Fleming County, Kentucky, and had four known children: Asenath McIntire-Thomas (ca 1838-), Robert McIntire (ca 1843-), James G. McIntire (ca 1846-), and Laura Lee McIntire-Barbee (1848-1929).
