Services for Cody Lanning age 18,years old 3627 West 650 North,Bryant,are Saturday at 10:00am at Baird Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Flint Redwine officiating.He died Tuesday evening in a drowning accident in a pond southeast of Portland.Born in Portland,he was the son of Wade Lanning Julie Hart,both of Portland.
He attended Jay County HigH School Band.
He worked at Wal-Mart in Portland and attended Southside Church of Christ in Portland.
Surviving besides his parents are 2 brothers Curtis Hart and Derrick Lannin,both of Portland,2 sisters,Jessica Hart Portland,and Ashley SikoraMishawaka;grandparents Peggy Lanning,Portland.Mrs Mike (Debbie) Atkinson,Portland,and Richard and Diana Hart Ridgeville;great-grand mother,Joan Hart and Ethel Baker both of Portland.
Visitation is Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
