L.T.Stanglin, 84, of Denison passed away on Saturday July 7, 2011 at Beacon Hill Nursing Facility, Denison, Texas. He was surrounded by his loving and caring family.
L.T. was born on May 3, 1927 in Colbert, Oklahoma to Mach H. and Annie Bell Draper Stanglin. He married Billie Jo Garrison who preceded him in death in 2000. He then married Mary Lee Malone Weger, who also preceded him in death.
L.T. loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a machinist, working at ChanceVaugh Aircraft for ten years and Johnson & Johnson for eighteen years. He was a lifetime resident in this area, graduating from Colbert High School. He was a member of Mirick Avenue Church of Christ in Denison.
He is survived by his children Ronald Stanglin and wife Patricia, Terry Stanglin and his wife Della, all of Kemp, Oklahoma, Billy Ray Stanglin of Denison, Texas, Loni Weger of Brinkley, Arkansas, Leland Weger of Chico,nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two brothers Max Stanglin of Colbert and Welta Stanglin of Denison, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at American Funeral Service Chapel, 4312 W. Crawford Street, Denison with interment following at Garden of Memory in Colbert, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Quinton Gage. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday at American Funeral Services.
Pallbearers will be Gary Stanglin, Dean Stanglin, Dusty Stanglin, Dakota Stanglin, Karl Stanglin, Eric Stanglin with Riggin Stanglin serving as honorary pallbearer.
