Raymond Teal age 86, left to be with his Savior, December 22, 2002, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Raymond was born October 22, 1916 to Walter Teal and Martha MacDonald in Wooler, Ontario Canada. He married his sweetheart Shirley Colleen Clissold in 1941,
in 1942 he became an American Citizen and went to work with the 3rd Armored Division, one of America's largest tank outfits. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he designed and built a beautiful home for his wife and five children in Emigration Canyon where they resided until 1964 when Shirley passed away. He worked at HydroSwift where he designed and built molds for fiberglass boats. In 1965, he married Virginia Dunn Holland. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stuart Teal and sister Alice Doupis.
He was an accomplished artist and he painted numerous watercolors while in the trenches in Europe recording his experiences of the war. He loved music and was a talented guitar player and singer. He was a gentle, loving sentimental man, with a great wit and an unselfish nature.
Raymond is survived by his children: Sharon (James) Teal-Coray, Sally (Parley) Teal-Holman, Randall (Cyndy) Teal, Sandra Keele-Teal and David Teal, Grandchildren James Coray, John Coray, Teal VanDongen, David Holman, R.J. Teal, Kayla Teal, Amy Laxman, Matthew Keele, Kandi Lambert, Michael Keele, Tyson Teal and Ryan McLachlan and 10 great-grandchildren, his wife Virginia and four stepdaughters and one stepson, Loreen (Bob) Holmes, Verla (John) Swords, Carolyn (Don) Peel and Douglas (Brenda) Holland, 14 great-stepgrandchildren and 25 great-great-stepgrandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Care Source the Residence for their loving care at this difficult time. A special thanks to his daughter Sandy for all the many hours of loving tender care she gave him.
Dad, we will miss you so very much but we are comforted to know that you are with mom.
