Actor. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a popular Vaudeville entertainer when he made big screen debut in "Puttin' on the Ritz" (1930). Featured as a song and dance man, he also appeared in the musicals "The Music Goes Round" (1930), "Playboy" (1936) and "Stars Over Arizona" (1937). For television, he appeared on "The Buick Merle Show," "The Ed Sullivan Show," and "The Jackie Gleason Show." He died at age 77 in Hollywood, California.
