Memorial services for Elfigo F. Padilla Sr., 80, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13. His remains will be inurned at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 20, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Columbarium. Visitation will be at 12:30 - 1 p.m., with the prayer vigil at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 12 at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home 555 W. Amador, Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Elfigo was born on Aug 27, 1928 in Atarque, New Mexico to Francisco and Lola Marquez Padilla and passed away on June 10, 2009 in Las Cruces. Elfigo retired from WSMR in 1983. Survivors include his loving wife, Leonor Chavez Padilla; sons, Elfigo (Fig) Padilla, Gregory Padilla; daughters, Dolores Aimesbury, Denise Sena; seven grandchildren; sisters; Virginia Baldonado, Ruth Sutton, Cora Trujillo and brother; Pimie Padilla. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
