Funeral services for Pedro Ramirez, Jr., 69, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with father Curtis Hoffman officiating. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mr. Ramirez passed away on June 6, 2009 at University Medical Center.

He was born in San Marcos, Texas on November 25, 1939. He married Rosa Sifuentes in 1963 in Lubbock. He dedicated 30 years of work at Harmon Tank Co. and worked past retirement. His nickname was "Apache". He was a Redskins fan all the way, loved to do Indian beads and leatherwork, and was a social butterfly who loved to party.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa S. Ramirez; daughters, Maryann Martinez, Debbie Ramirez, Monica Pauda, Elizabeth Flores, and Jessica Ramirez; brothers, Alejandro Ramirez, Richard Ramirez, Dale Ramirez of Austin, and Johnny Ramirez; sisters, Mary Helen Ramirez of Austin, Clara Ramirez of Austin, and Virginia Ramirez; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
