Mollie P. Blankenship Hall was born June 30 (July 4), 1901 at Dickson, Beech Fork dam area, Wayne Co, WV to Samuel Lee & Eliza J. (Crockett) Blankenship. Mollie's father, Samuel was born Oct. 1825 in Franklin Co., VA to Levi J. & Polly (Williams) Blankenship. Samuel was a large land owner and ran a merchantile store along Twelve Pole, Wayne Co. WV. He married 1st his cousin Mary Blankenship and after her death he married Eliza Jane Crockett whom he met at his wife's funeral. Eliza was the daughter of John Wesley & Mary "Polly" (Stafford) Crockett. Mollie married Jubal Stanley Hall on 29 Dec. 1919 in Huntington, WV at the home of Henry & Sarah F. (Hall) Winkler, Jubal's aunt. Jubal and Mollie had seven daughters: Hazel F., Belva E., Violet E., Delia L., Ruth I., Ida Mae, and Donna R. Hall. In later years Mollie moved to Kississmee, Florida and worked as a dietician at the Rao Clinic and Hospital until she retired in 1975. She returned back home to West Virginia and lived at Cline Hollow, Campbells Creek and the home of her daughter, Donna until her death in 1995.
