James Tague's family had emigrated from Ireland to Scotland during the famine years about 1854. Owen was one of 12 children, some died at birth and some at very young ages, only 5 living to adulthood; Mary, Thomas, John Joseph, Hugh, Owen, Patrick, Michael, Bridget.
He married Alice Clark(1869-1959)in Holytown in 1894 the year that Jame died.
They had one son, Thomas James born(10 Nov 1894-20 May 1962),named after James and his father Thomas.
James fell off a roof and would suffer fatal injuries approximately 42 days after his fall in early October 1894 while working as a coalminer for Bellsdyke Coal Co at the Bellsdyke Colliery in Airdrie.
James died November 17, 1894 in Airdrie, Scotland. He was only 20 years, 8 months old when he died. He was laid to rest with his father Thomas Sr., his mother Ann, his brothers Thomas, Hugh, James and Michael and sister Bridget. They are all buried in the same grave in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 52 Dykeshead Rd., Airdrie, County of Lanark, Scotland.
Alice Clark would remarry and have more children with Edward Ryce.
