Eleanor Tega, 83 years, of Delmar, passed away on June 4, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y. Eleanor was born in Lynbrook, N.Y. on May 29, 1922, daughter of the late Vincent and Carmela (Motta) Grandinetti. She loved the beach at Montauk and considered it her second home. Eleanor and her husband Peter moved to Winston-Salem, N.C. from Massapequa, L.I., N.Y. in 1985 when they retired. She enjoyed bowling and golfing. She was a member of the Albany Italian-American Club, VFW Post 9010 and 7277 Ladies Auxiliary, Winston-Salem Booster Club, St. Leo's Seniors Club, vantage marshall at the Senior Classic Golf Tournaments, Tanglewood Park, Clemmens, N.C. and a volunteer worker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Peter V. Tega Sr. in 1999 and two brothers, Eugene and Vincent Grandinetti.

Surviving are her children, Tina Dombroski and her husband David of Greenville, N.Y., Peter V. Tega Jr. and his wife Joan of Drums, Pa. and Donna Soper and her husband Ronald of Sprakers, N.Y.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 17, 2005 at 12 p.m. at the Gerald B. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, N.Y. to which all are invited. There are no calling hours prior to the service.
