DEATH COMES FOR RICH VALLEY FARMER
The death of John Dunphy, 77, who had resided on a farm near here the last 15 years occurred Sunday evening at 8:10 o'clock in the home of his daughter, Mrs. levi Ridenour of rural route 3, Wabash. He had been in failing health for several years and had been bedfast in the home of his daughter the last six weeks.
He was born in Ohio on April 4, 1863, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunphy. He was a former employe of the Peru basket factory.
Mrs. Dunphy died 12 years ago. One daughter, two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, John Dunphy, Peru, Joseph Dunphy, Baltimore, Md., Thomas Dunphy, Wabash, the daughter Mrs. levi Ridenour, Wabash, also 23 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Costin-Bond funeral home at Peru to await funeral arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Costin-Bond funeral home in Peru with the Rev. Paul A. Welsh officiating. Burial will be in Falls
cemetery at Wabash.
