Patricia Gabbard was born January 8, 1959 in Estill County and departed this life Sunday, October 19, 2008, being 49 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius Freeman and Francis Gabbard.
Pat is survived by one daughter- Catherine Ward and her husband James of Tyner, KY; one son- Charlie Gabbard and his wife Janet of Waneta, KY; and by one step-daughter- Ange Byrd and her husband Scotty of Waneta, KY.
She was blessed with seven grandchildren- Ashley Durham, Peyton Ward, Luke Gabbard, Savannah Gabbard, Lindsey Dunn, Kendra Dunn and Baily Byrd. She is also survived by five sisters- Wavelene Lakes of McKee, Marlene Isaacs of McKee, Leatrice Isaacs of McKee, Grace Ann McQueen of Lexington, and Paula Marcum of McKee; and by three brothers- Daniel Gabbard of Lexington, Doyle Fowler of Irvine and Greg Freeman of Gray Hawk.
She was preceded in death by her brother- Jason Freeman and by a sister- Jackie Clark.
Pat was a member of the Waneta Church of God. She was a loving mother and granny and she also never saw a stranger. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.
Funeral service were held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Abner and Sister Terry King conducting the service. Burial followed in the Gabbard Cemetery.
