Rosario and Maria came to the United States of America from Sicily in about 1909 with their son Cataldo. (Their first child, Crocifissa, did not survive childhood.) They first came to the Pittston area of Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, and later move to South Boston, Massachusetts.
