Wilma E. Duran 85 of Post Falls, Idaho – formerly of Gassville, died Wed. November 12th at home. Wilma was born Oct. 31, 1923 in Roodhouse, IL to Frank and Leola Lorton. Wilma grew up on a small farm in White Hall, IL. After High School she married Joseph Duran and lived in Brookfield, IL most of her life. Wilma worked as a waitress for over 20 years. Much of that was working at The Lobster House in Brookfield. In 1967 she and Joseph divorced and Wilma moved to Gassville, Arkansas where she lived until 1998 when she moved to Post Falls, Idaho.
Wilma was a long time member of the VFW posts in both Brookfield and Mountain Home. She is survived by her sons: Thomas Duran of Post Falls, ID and Robert & Constance Duran of Post Falls, a sister, Faye Goldacker of Sterling, IL and 1 grandchild, Melissa K. Duran of Post Falls.
Wilma is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Contributions can be sent to Hospice of North Idaho at 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
