Sarrah Jane is the third child and first born daughter of Thomas Shatswell and Elizabeth nee:Peoples.

2nd wife of Esquire E. Essex - married 10/2/1878 in Newton Co., AR

Unsure of her actual birth date, as I find it listed many places as Sep. 10, 1852, however her headstone says Sep. 10, 1853. In addition, the 1900 census states she was born in April of 1854!

Also unsure if she was born in Searcy Co. or Newton Co., as her family moved from Clarksville to Redrock sometime between 1852 - 1854.
