Susannah Bellah
•Sex: F
•Birth: 16 JAN 1808 in TN.
•Death: 1858 in Ar.
•Census: 1850 Page 302 Prairie Twp., Carroll Co., AR. ED. Date: 2 Oct
•Census: 1830 Page 47 Wayne Co., MO.
•Census: 1840 Page 11 Prairie Twp, Carroll Co., AR.
•Burial: BET 1840 AND 1850 A field north of Blackjack Cemetery, Carroll Co., AR.

•Note:
Source: George Glenn Crabaugh-Information gleaned from Vol. XXXI Spring, 1985 No. 1 issue of Carroll County Quarterly-page 1 "Susannah Standlee and her song".

Information from "Carroll County Arkansas Historical Society, "These were the first" compiled by Jim Lair, Contributed by, Gerry (Standlee) Buford, Page 581: Shows she was born in 1809. She had 10 Children with Abraham.
She was returned to Carroll County for burial and was buried in a field north of Blackjack Cemerery in Carroll County. Today that historic burial place is across Arkansas Highway 221 North from the Blackjack Cemetery. Some have called the plot of ground the "Blue Hole on King". Several graves are found there, including some of the Ary family, a davis infant, Brantley Smith's first wife, and probably Cypherous Standlee and John Jack Standlee. Actually, only three stones remain: Susan Standlee, January 16, 1808-January 1, 1856; Elizabeth Standlee, April 18, 1844-Jan 18,1845; and George W. Standlee, January 11, 1851-September 15, 1856. Those stones are broken and thrown over and sadly the spot is no longer a sacred one, but rather more of a daily problem for some farmer.

1850 Federal Census: Could not read or write.
