Ann Henderson, daughter of the late James W. Gregory and Lillie Boone Gregory, was born on Jan. 30, 1916, near Dexter and died in the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center at Dexter on April 13, 2009, at the age of 93.

Mrs. Henderson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, had worked on the family farm with her husband, the former owner of Ann's Tot and Teen Clothing Store in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Ray Bennett Henderson on Feb. 24, 1932, at Bernie. Mr. Henderson preceded her in death on March 11, 1981.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Caryl and Percy Clippard of Dexter; four brothers, Denver Gregory of Dexter, Darrell Gregory of Bernie, Loyd Gregory and Dale Gregory, both of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Onvall Noyes of Tucson, Ariz., and Hazel Crouch of Bernie; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Henderson; one daughter, Joy Kilmer McQuary; one granddaughter, Shannon Henderson Brooks; and two brothers, Otis Gregory and Howard Gregory.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Steve Easterwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
