Mrs. Maxine Osment was born on Sunday, March 28, 1926 daughter of the late Willie and Novella Conatser Pepper.
Mrs. Osment died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the family residence in Trumann Arkansas, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 22 days.
She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, and has lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann.
Mrs. Osment was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Osment, Jr., one son, Gerald Osment, two sisters, one brother and her parents.
Survivors include three sons, Freddie Osment and David Osment both of Trumann and James Osment of Germantown, Tennessee, three sisters, Juanita Thompson of Trumann, Lois Fears of Batesville and Patsy Walker of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Jack Pepper of Cotter and Billy Pepper of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas, with Dr. Tad Rogers and Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Allen, Zachary Davis, Terry Osment, Harold Thompson, Ronnie Thompson and Eddie Williams.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Trumann.
