FLORA IONE COY, 92, passed away on March 30, 2009 at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly, MO. She had lived the past year in Brunswick at the Brunswick Nursing Home but was previously from the Keytesville area.

Flora was born on December 6, 1916 in Ames, Oklahoma to Charles Albert Scott and Willie Fogelsong Scott. She moved with her family to Missouri early in life and spent many years in the Hill area south of Keytesville. She graduated from the Hill School and was a member of the Elm Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Coy married Raymond H. Coy on February 2, 1932, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage. She was a farm wife who loved growing garden produce to sell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers- Earl Scott and Elgie Scott, and one sister- Mary Cooper. She is survived by her son, Charles Sidney Coy and wife Nancy, seven nieces and nephews, and several cousins.

Visitation is 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31st at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Services are 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1st at the Summerville Funeral Home with burial in Asbury Cemetery, with Elder Russel Key of the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Asbury Cemetery Association.
Pallbearers: Gary Parks, Jerry Hayes, Paul Foglesong, Roy Bennett, Jason Munden and Norman Bentley.
Honorary Pallbearers: Gerald "Suze" Calvert, Pete Huckabey, J.C. Jones, Charles "Dud" Hayes, Denny Pearman, Ted Quick, John Smith and Jim Pearman.
