Enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Army 25 March 1918, and served in the 320th Ambulance company, and the 317th Ambulance Company, 80th Division.  Served in Italy and France.  In August 1918 he was with his company in Moulin Ruisseau, France. He was honorably discharged 9 January 1919.

"Retiree Head, Harry Bearint"
Harry Bearint, 76, past president of Sun Oil Company Retired Personnel, died Thursday (Feb. 17, 1966). Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he came here 15 years ago from Chester, Pa.  He was a retired pipe insulator for the Sun Oil Co.  He was a Methodist. Mr. Bearint, who resided at 2100 62nd Ave. N. in St. Petersburg [Fla.], was named winner of "Outstanding Citizenship Award" of Pinellas County in 1960 by the American Legion Post 104.  He was a service office for Gulf Beach American Legion Post 273 at Madeira Beach for six years.  A member of Holiday Isles Lodge 1912, he also was a member of B.P.O. Elks and chef de gare of the 40 et 8 of St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife, Mamie; a son, Oliver Monzingo of Linwood, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Metague of Chester.  Seminole Beach Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
