He was a mechanic, welder, and carpenter.

He married first Betty Jo Weese in Arkansas. They had Janice Ardella Kirby.

He married secondly Lillie Mae Evans on 14 Feb 1974 in Montgomery County, Texas.

Chuck died at the VA Hospital in Houston.
