Lucille Peterson Tyre Bussey

Lucille Peterson Tyre Bussey, 84, of Clyattville, died on Sunday, May 27, 2001, in Tifton after a lengthy illness. Born in Jasper, Florida, on Oct. 23, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Leon and Mattie Len Hunter Peterson. She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church. Surviviors are her daughters and son-in-law, Linda Jane (Tyre) and James Carroll Altman of Chula, Paula (Tyre) Ray of Valdosta; grandchildren, Cindy Thomas of Valdosta, Cris Lawson of Hahira, Gary Altman of Cordele, Phillip Ray of Valdosta, David Ray of Beaufort, South Carolina; seven great grandchildren and a great grandson; sister-in-law, Peggy Peterson Springfield, North Carolina and a niece and nephew. Mrs. Bussey was proceeded in death by a brother, Robert Earl Peterson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Douglas Reddick and Reverend Henry Cannington will officiate. Burial will be at Lake Park Cemetery. – Carson McLane Funeral Home.
