Wife of Lonnie E. Fischer ~ married November 29, 1914
Catherine (Katie) Hunt, born Dec. 30, 1890; died May 17, 1969; married Lonnie E. Fischer of Maud, Texas. They were married on Nov. 28, 1914. Their children were: 1. Dorothy Louise, born Dec. 18, 1915, married William Frederick Pullan who died May 12, 1975. 2. Martin Edgar Fischer, born July 28, 1918; died Sept. 2, 1979; married Addys Brooke of Texarkana, Texas. 3. Henry Lee Fischer, born Feb. 16, 1921; died July 7, 1978; married Margaret Nettles.
Lonnie was very gifted, a fine builder. He built their home on their farm. the farm and land is still in the family. Lonnie could build anything, find tables, mantles, swings, cabinets, even the doors to part of his home. He was ill a year before he died.
Katie's parents died early in life when she was just a little girl. She was left in care of her grandmother Heath until Grandma Heath died, then Uncle Lee Hunt, her mother's brother was her guardian, but she lived four years with her Aunt Fredonia until she was sixteen years old. By this time Uncle Lee had married Willie Murphy so she went to live with them until she married. She went to school until her marriage then she reared her family. She was very smart, doing all kinds of needle work, watercolor painting and in her late years made fancy quilts. These she gave to her family. She was loved by all her family. She spent several winters with daughter, Dorothy, and her husband in late years. She was nursed by Dorothy after falling and breaking her hip and also all of the family helped nurse her.
Lonnie and Katie are buried in the Hunt plot of the Douglasville cemetery.

Daughter of Lonnie Edgar and Catherine "Katie" (Hunt) Fischer. She married William Frederick Pullan, WWII. All are buried in Douglasville cemetery.
