Obituary:
Mrs. Birdie Evelyn Luttrell, daughter of John C. and Susan E. Johnson, born September 22, 1880, in southern Polk county, Arkansas, died Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 1933, at her home in Broken Bow.
Mrs. Luttrell was converted at Johnsonville Church when she was 12 years of age and joined the Methodist church of which she had been an active member until the time of her death. She was married to W.R. Luttrell, April 17, 1898, and six children were born to this union, three of whom died in their infancy.
She is survived by her husband, W.R. Luttrell; one son, D.C. Luttrell of Hatfield, Arkansas; two daughters, Mrs. Audie Brock and Mrs. Birdie Morgan, both of Broken Bow; two grandchildren; three brothers, W.S. Johnson of Gillham, Arkansas, J.W. Johnson of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Rev. J.C. Johnson of Kingsland, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Luttrell of Eagletown, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Mamie Helms of De Queen, Arkansas.
The funeral was held at the Methodist church in Broken Bow Wednesday, May 3, at 2:30 P.M., Rev. W.O. Butcher officiating. Interment at the family lot at Mineral cemetery, two miles north of Gillham at 4:30 P.M., in charge of the Coffey Funeral Home.
