Georgiana "Jane" Griffin Authement, 92, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Cut Off, died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Michael D. Authement; one daughter, Leah A. Brunet; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Authement; her parents, Louis and Olivette Griffin; two brothers, Jackson Griffin and Hilton Griffin; and one sister, Antoinette "Toni" Verret.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 8538 and NAPUS and was a retired postmaster in Cut Off.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
