Wynema "Wanda" Alford, 75, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Alford was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Wildersville, Tenn. to the late Louie and Verdie (Green) Johnson Autry. She was of the Protestant faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Alford enjoyed spending time with her family and sewing.

On July 5, 1960 she married to Raymond Earl Alford, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1994.

Survivors include three daughters, Robin Wilson and husband Larry, Dee Vanderberg and husband Kelley and Lori Lady and husband Paul, all of Poplar Bluff; two sons Sam Alford and Roger E. Alford, both of Poplar Bluff; 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; four sisters Volita Keown, of San Lorenzo, Calif., Virginia Lee Swafford, of Greenfield, Ind., Mary Johnson, of Wappapello and Loretta Sullivan, of Qulin; and two brothers Norman Elton Autry, of Nixa and Billy Autry, of Bell City.

A daughter Sharon Kay Liles, a son Charles Liles, a sister Elvie Jean McIver and two brothers Noble P. Autry and Arbie Autry also preceded Mrs. Alford in death.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Bro. Bob Case officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
