Elizabeth was born about 1817 to Archibald Bell and his wife Ann (nee Lenox or Lennox). Her parents were married on January 13, 1808 in Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian. Her father was a sergeant in the Scottish military and also a handloom weaver.

Elizabeth married my Great, Great, Grandfather Robert Kenneth on December 28, 1871 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire after Banns. Witnesses included James Young, William Bell, and Christian or Christina Bell.

At the time of their marriage, Robert was living at 26 Almada Street. Elizabeth was also living on Almada Street though I don't know the specific house number.

She died in her home sometime between 9pm on the 10th and 11am on the 11th of September, 1891 from old age decay, suddenly. Her address at the time being 78 Chapel Street, Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

She was buried on September 14, 1891. This is the oldest section of the cemetery. Robert Kenneth is said to be buried at Hamilton Cemetery. His death record was not specific.
