CLEARFIELD – May Brennan Button left this sphere on November 4, 2008.

She was born in Salt Lake City July 16, 1917 to Gerda Modine and Thomas Brennan.

She attended Davis County Schools from the fourth grade to graduating from Davis High in 1935.

May married Wilford M. Button on April 27, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Clearfield in the home they built together, most of their married life. He passed away February 25, 1985.

She is survived by her brother Merl M. Thurgood and many nieces and nephews whom have been dearly loved by her.

She loved her cats and dog and enjoyed working in her yard till she couldn't do it anymore. She was a member of the Golden Spike Gem Society. She also loved to crochet.

Her calling in the church were work director, quilt chairman, compassionate service and ward and stake librarian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Bernice Kunar.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
