Mrs. Mary Klahr Peiffer, 77, widow of Harvey A. Peiffer, 1 E. Walnut St., died this morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She had been ailing for the last year. She was born in Schuylkill County, a daughter of the late Percival and Susannah Bohr Klahr. She and her husband founded Peiffer's Meat Market, now Peiffers Foodland, about 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Paul's (Klopp's) Reformed Church, Hamlin, and a life member of the Ladies' Mite Society. Surviving are two sons, Eulan H. and Lee D., both of Lebanon; a daughter, Bertha, wife of George Schaeffer, Lebanon; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Klahr, Bethel, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Arnold, Lebanon.
