Thomas Tague jr. was born in Newarthill, Parish of Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland on Dec. 13, 1856 to Thomas Tague(1825-1875) and Ann Savage Tague(1835-1897). Thomas Tague's family had emigrated from Ireland to Scotland during the famine years about 1854. Thomas was the oldest son of 12 children, some died at birth and some at very young ages, only 5 living to adulthood; Mary, Thomas, John Joseph, Hugh, Patrick, Michael, Bridget, Owen and James.
Thomas never married, he died during the influenza epidemic of 1877 in Scotland. Thomas was only 20 years old. He was laid to rest with his father Thomas Sr. and brothers Owen and Michael all died the few years before Thomas. They are all buried in the same grave in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dykeshead Rd., Airdrie, Scotland.
