The Rising Sun Tavern was located in Uniontown, (3359 Uniontown Rd.) Carroll Co., MD. Leased to John Hape and William Segafoose by Dr. James L. Billingslea, until it was sold to Charles Devilbiss in 1842. Prior to Dr. James L. Billingslea ownership, the owner was David Stem from 1811 to 1835.
