Susan M. Goodman was born 06 March 1852 in Missouri to John & Lucinda(Bilyeu) Bryant. She was married, first, to Joseph M. Humphreys in Linn Co., OR 17 March 1867 [MR Bk B pg 413]. He died three months later, 18 June 1867 and is in the Hurnphreys Family Cemetery near Jordan. On 28 Aug 1870 she married Thomas P. Goodman, also in Linn County. She married, third, G. W. Murphy, in 1911 and died as Susan
Murphy. G. W. Murphy is here in Sec. 2 Lot 97.
Thomas P. Goodman was married, first, to Jennette Miller on 06 Oct 1867 in Linn County, OR [MR Bk B pg 457]. She died 23 Dec 1868 and is in Miller Cemetery at Shelburn. She left a daughter who was also named Jennette.
Thomas P. & Susan M. Goodman became the parents of 9 children. Those who are in Lone Oak are: Effie & Thomas P., both in this lot; Enos Bluf ford in Sec. 2 Lot 92; Willard F. "Fitz" in Sec. 3 Lot 10; and Jessie D. Titus in Sec. 2 Lot 93. Effie was undoubtedly moved here
from her original burial place - this cemetery not being in use yet in 1887. Possibly Thomas P. was also moved here as the sexton records indicate this lot was not purchased until 1915.
