A tragedy occurred in the family of Henry & Susannah, five of their children died of scarlet fever within eleven days. These children are buried at the St. Paul Lutheran Church near New Point, Decatur county, Indiana
Their first child survived the disease, but died later.
A memorial to these children is at the home of Ruth Ilene Draping, where it has been in the same place for more than 50 years.
