Percy Marion Yell, 83, of 609 Churchill Rd., retired independent oil operator, was dead on arrival at a hospital Thursday night.

Peace Justice Jim Boorman ruled death was from natural causes.

Yell, a native of Tullahoma, Tenn., had lived here since 1944. He was a longtime resident of the Mineral Wells area and was a Methodist.

He retired about 20 years ago after many years of oil operation in the Brownwood, Breckenridge and Ranger areas.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, Chester and Marvin of Borger, J. V. of Odessa, Jeff of Eunice, N. M., and John Yell of Monahans; three daughters, Miss Nell Yell of Houston and Mmes. Louise Badgett of Lubbock and Opal Carman of McAllen; a sister, Mrs. A. J. Coffee of Mayfield, Okla., 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shannon Memorial Chapel with graveside services at 4:30 p.m. in Sturdivant Cemetery near Mineral Wells. - obituary
