Update:
On her death certificate, it says that her father was George McDaniel and Sarah Perry. This was provided by my grandfather Percy Yell. However it has proved untrue. Her father was Benjamin Franklin McDaniel and her mother was Rebecca, maiden name unknown. The McDaniel name used to be McDonald during the Revolutionary War when they were Royalists. When the English lost the war, the McDonalds left. Most went to Canada, but ours went across the mountains (This was in a letter from an Aunt of mine. She did not specify where they had been or went to.)They changed their names from McDonald to McDaniel. By the 1870 census, Benjamin McDaniel had changed back to Benjamin McDonald. This is all I can find so far. Oh, and anyone researching them should be aware that in the 1850 census they were called by the last name Franklin, a mistake of the census taker.
