Private William Wright, a cordwainer from Media, Pa. ; enlisted at age 43 on Sept. 23, 1861 for 3 yrs.; in Company G, 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was discharged on on surgeons certificate at Fortress Monroe, Va., on Oct. 7, 1861. He afterward re-enlisted in the regiment on Dec. 20, 1862 and died of chronic diarrhea at Fernandina, Fla. On Nov. 28, 1863.
