My GG-Grandmother Ann (Nancy) Savage was born in Ireland about 1835 to Owen Savage(1806-1869) and Mary King(1811- abt.1867). They were from Taunagh Parish, Tiraghrill, Barony, County Sligo, Ireland

During the Irish Famine (1845-1855) The Savage family emigrated to Scotland sometime before 1851. They settled in the Newarthill District in the Parish of Bothtwell, Lanark County.
Ann was one of seven living children of Owen and Mary. The Children were: Hugh, Ann, John, Patrick and Bridget Betsy, Michael and Mariam.

Ann married Thomas Tague July 3, 1853 at St. Margaret's Church in Airdrie, Lanark County, Scotland. They had 9 children: Mary, Thomas, John Joseph, Hugh, Patrick, Michael, Bridget, Owen and James.

She lived out her life in the Parish of Bothwell in Lanark County. Ann died at the age of 60 and is buried with her husband and many of their children at Saint Joseph's Cememtery, 52 Dykeshead Road, Airdrie, Lanark County, Scotland.
