My GG-Grandfather Thomas Tague was born in 1825 in Ireland to Thomas Tague(b.abt. 1800) and Bridget Fanning(b.abt. 1800.

During the famine years in Ireland (1845-1855) he emigrated before 1855 to Scotland, settling in the area of Newarthill, Parish of Bothwell in Lanark County.

On July 03, 1853 Thomas married Nancy (Ann) Savage at St. Margaret's Church in Airdrie, Lanark, Scotland. They lived in the District of Holytown in Lanark County, where many of their children would be born.

They had 9 living children: Mary, Thomas, John Joseph, Hugh, Patrick, Michael, Bridget, Owen and James.

Thomas worked as a coal miner his whole life and died from injuries on August 22, 1875 in a mining accident at the age of 50.

Thomas is buried in the same grave as his wife and many of their children at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 52 Dykeshead Road, Airdrie, Lanark County, Scotland.
