William Fredrerick Gottberg aged 76, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. A. W. Wingfield on Petit Jean Mountain, Thursday night at 8:30. He had lived on the mountain for 60 years and farmed until he retired a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife; five sons, Herbert of Dauphine, Canada, Sylvan of Petit Jean Mountain, Oscar of Fallan, Nev., James of Wingfield, Kan., William of Madison, Nebraska, Mrs. May Jones of Petit Jean and Mrs. Mary Wood of Shawnee, Okla., one sister Mrs. Tillie Herring of Columbus, Nebr., and one brother, Max Gottberg of Columbus, Nebr.
Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church on Petit Jean Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in charge of Rev. Gracie, Lutheran Minister of Little Rock. Burial was in the Petit Jean cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Reid's Funeral Home.
