Alonzo Carpenter, sweet infant son, was born to Royal Carpenter (1800-1880) and Temperance Ayers (1810-1892). He was born in Franklin Co. Ohio, and was just a babe when his family traveled to Lafayette County, Wisconsin. While there, his father Royal purchased farmland and engaged in farming. Alonzo lived to be just 5 months, and 10 days old. It is unknown what caused his early death.
