Elvina Woolley was born in July 1839 in Monmouth, New Jersey, the only child of Albert and Hannah. She married Zenas M. Howland on February 25, 1854, in Poplar, New Jersey. They had eight children during their marriage. She died on December 5, 1917, in Long Branch, New Jersey, at the age of 78.
