Mrs. Virginia Armstrong Huff, 79, of 208 Ridgeland Drive, died Monday, Sept. 26. 1983, at The Smithfield Home. Mrs. Huff, a native of Augusta County, was retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station. She was a member of St. James Methodist Church, Churchville, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church Women and the Elizabeth Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Norfolk. She was the widow of Joseph E. Huff Sr. and the daughter of Emily Leech and B.A. Armstrong. Surviving are one son; Joseph E. Huff Jr., Smithfield; one daughter Mrs. Margaret Register, Virginia Beach; one sister, Mrs. Emily Hooten, Deerfield, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. officiating. Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
