Mrs. Hurst
Mrs. Bessie G. Hurst. 71. of 427 Luling St., Pearl, died late Sunday night at a local nursing home after a long illness.
Services: 12:30 p.m. today at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Burial: Jackson Memorial Gardens.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Jean) Knight of Pearl: a son. Wr.C. Ansley of Baton Rouge. La.; three stepchildren, Mrs Ruth W Windham of Gallman. Mrs. Bobbie Kirkland and Mrs. Betty Jones, both of Clinton; a brother. Wiley Gordon of Pearl; two sisters. Mrs. F.N. Baker and Mrs. Carey Rhimes, both of Hazlehurst; six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
A native of Scott County, Mrs. Hurst lived most of her life in Jackson. She was a resident of Baton Rouge. La., for 13 years, returning In Jackson in 1974. She was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. She was a retired practical nurse, tor many years associated with Schmidt Sanatorium on Westhaven Blvd.
