JOHN WAYNE ROBERTS (1947-2006) Longtime employee of the Houston Chronicle passed away on September 17, 2006 leaving behind his spouse Verna Roberts and his five children Rodney Roberts, John Roberts, Jason Roberts, Crystal Woehrl and Amber Westerman. Other survivors include, his two stepchildren Tonya Gears, Fonda Garner, his adopted son Tommy Wayne Kemery, and his thirteen grandchildren, which to all that knew him was his pride and joy.
