Leonor Salas Chacón, age 95, entered into rest May 17, 2008 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born April 11, 1913 in Del Rio, Texas. She was a consultant for Avon. She also retired from Perry Bros. retail store after 13-years of dedicated service in 1978. Her dream was fulfilled with the completion of the Leonor S. Chacón subdivision located on the south part of Del Rio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Jose Chacón, Sr.; parents, Ramon Salas and Julia Barrera Salas; brothers, Gilbert B. Salas and Rafael B. Salas; sisters, Rebecca S. Huizar and Beatriz S. Ramirez.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Maria Dolores Chacón, Leticia Delia Chacón; sons, Cesar Carlos Chacón and wife Landa, Carlos Jose Chacón, Jr. and wife Consuelo; brother, Jose Maria Salas; sisters, Araceli S. Torres and Alicia S. Frausto; grandchildren, Esequiel Talamántez,III, Alexandra Zan Avila, Larissa C. Malmquist, Carlos J. Chacón, III, Carol K. Kolden, Cheryl Stahovich, Lori Hepler, Cesar Chacón, Jr., Anthony B. Chacón, Desiree Chacón and 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be: Esequiel Talamántez, III, Melchor Avila, Armando Salas, Cesar Chacón, Sr., Robert Garcia, Rafael Hector Salas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 5:00PM-9:00PM, and Wednesday, May 21,2008, 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Grace Community Church, 709 Kings Way St at 3:30p.m. Pastor. Terry Maris, officiating

Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
