Dean McAfee, age 48 of Pindall, AR passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

The son of Eldon D. and Naomi (Westphal) McAfee was born December 26, 1957 in Winchester, KS.

Dean owned and managed Race Brothers Farm Supply in Harrison, having worked there for 31 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed horseback riding, camping, farming, and he also loved to cook. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kenneth "Mouse" Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Reta (Lewis) McAfee of the home; parents, Eldon and Naomi McAfee of Harrison; children, Shannon McAfee and his wife, Sheena of Harrison, Brandon McAfee and his fiance', Jamie of Pindall, and Eldon McAfee and his wife, Natasha also of Pindall; father and mother-in-law, Claud and Retha Lewis of Pindall; sister, Debbie Williams of Harmon; brother, Ron McAfee of Harrison, and Scott McAfee of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren, Sierra and Remington both of Harrison, Dominic and Tony both of Pindall, and Landen of St. Joe. He is also survived by many other relatives and close friends.

Service was Tuesday, November 14 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Dennis Sisco officiating. Burial was in Western Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick Breedlove, Tim Pulliam, Zack Eddings, Butch Baker, Joey Madison, Robert Tennison, Alan Simpson, and Scott Oldham. Honorary pallbearers included Mike Fowler, Tate Morris, Jason Canady, Sandy Wright, Matt McFarlan, Kyle Sisco, Allen Glidwell, Benji Lewis, Jr. Lewis, Joe Brooks, Dewayne White, Lang Holland, Ken Taylor, all of his brothers-in-law, and loyal Race Brothers employees. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home.
