Former Resident of Lee Center Passes Away in El Paso, Texas.


James Condon died at his home in El Paso, Tex., Saturday afternoon at 5:20 o'clock. He had been in poor health for a year, death resulting from infirmities accompanying advanced age. He was born in Ireland 78 years ago, coming to America when he was five years old, the family settling in Lee Center. When he was in his teens he went to California. He had visited his relatives and friends in this locality on three occasions, the last time about 19 years ago. In Utica, about 35 years ago he married Mary Carney, who survives with two sons and two daughters: Leslie and Mae Condon, and Mrs. Edward Sweeney of El Paso, and John of Pasadena, Cal.; also two sisters, Miss Eliza Condon of Rome, and Mrs. Ellen Carney of Utica.


Mr. Condon's parents, John and Mary Condon, formerly resided at 407 W. Thomas Street, this city, their deaths occurring there.


The funeral will be held at El Paso on Tuesday and interment will be made there.
